That is a good way to back up your fics. I tend to just keep copies of mine offline.
Xanga is another online journal service. It has some similarities to LJ, but I don't find the functions as convenient. You can check it out at http://www.xanga.com.
I don't like characters to be completely different either, especially when the OOC characterisitics are worse than the original. Love and death are going to change people, but there are still aspects that identify who they are.
Sad endings not only drive me to tears, they make me sick. I have trouble eating after reading or seeing one.

I agree that if the Pinnalce of Perfection is just enjoying tennis, then most of the players should have it. They really ruined it with the amnesia and Pinnacle of Perfection being just fun tennis.
I've heard of Chevrolet, but not Deawoo. I'm not familiar with cars.
